Going above, so our students can go beyond

Now more than ever, we must meet students where they are and provide them the support they need to pursue every opportunity, realize their full potential, and shape our world.

Scholarship support

Donors can support scholarships at the undergraduate or graduate level with a gift of any amount. Annual gifts of all sizes add up to make a significant impact by allowing deans and administrators to attract the very brightest students, regardless of their financial circumstances. Annual named scholarships

Donors may sponsor a named scholarship annually with minimum gift of $10,000. You may name the scholarship in honor of yourself, a friend or family member, or in memory of a loved one. We encourage you to establish a scholarship by making a multi-year commitment, or you may choose to renew your gift each year. You’ll have opportunities to meet your scholarship student or students at special events during the year.

Undergraduate alumni who have graduated in the past five years and graduate and professional alumni ages 35 or younger who have graduated in the past five years may establish a named annual scholarship for $5,000.

Endowed scholarships

Alumni and friends establish endowed scholarships at Washington University for any number of reasons. Some are grateful for the scholarships they received as students. Some wish to honor family members. Some choose to recognize a professor who inspired them to dig deeper. Some simply want to say “Thank you!” because they have seen firsthand how the university has changed lives—including their own.
